Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Disability, Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DDARS)
DDARS is the FSSA division responsible for Indiana's services to people with disabilities and older adults. Until a 2025 reorganization it was the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS); it absorbed the former Division of Aging and now runs four bureaus: the Bureau of Disabilities Services (formerly the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services, BDDS), the Bureau of Child Development Services (which runs First Steps), the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (Vocational Rehabilitation, deaf and hard of hearing services, blind and visually impaired services, and the Independent Living network) and the Bureau of Better Aging. DDARS operates the Family Supports and Community Integration and Habilitation Medicaid waivers, the Health and Wellness and Traumatic Brain Injury waivers, Supervised Group Living, and the statewide waiver ombudsman. Its current cross-cutting initiatives are Charting the LifeCourse, Competitive Integrated Employment and the multi-year Waiver Reset.
