Indiana Health and Wellness Waiver
The Health and Wellness Waiver is the renamed Aged and Disabled Waiver, now serving Hoosiers aged 59 and under with a disability who meet nursing facility level of care. It funds attendant care, home modifications, adult day services, structured family caregiving and other supports as an alternative to a nursing facility, and it can also move people out of nursing facilities back into the community. It moved from the Division of Aging to DDRS, now DDARS, on July 1, 2024 and is now administered by the Bureau of Disabilities Services.
