L'Arche Heartland
L'Arche Heartland creates an intentional community where people with and without intellectual disabilities live and work together. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities are called "Core Members" and share homes with assistants. The organization says it works to "make known the gifts of people with disabilities through mutually transforming relationships." It is part of the International Federation of L'Arche, founded 1964, with Christian roots and open to people of all faiths.
