Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City (BIAKS-GKC)
BIAKS describes itself as "the only non-profit in the state of Kansas and the Greater Kansas City metro area solely serving individuals who have sustained a brain injury." It provides information and referral, coordinates brain injury support groups, runs family and survivor seminars, delivers professional training including Certified Brain Injury Specialist credentialing, operates an online brain injury screening system, and does prevention education and legislative advocacy.
