The Arc of Douglas County
The Arc of Douglas County describes its mission as "supporting and empowering Kansans with developmental disabilities and their families through person centered, advocacy-based services." It provides targeted case management and service coordination, IEP support, advocacy and training, independent living counseling, and technical assistance to self-advocacy groups. It has operated since 1956 and serves Douglas, Jefferson and Franklin counties; it is also an affiliated case management provider for the Shawnee County CDDO.
