COFAR, the Massachusetts Coalition of Families and Advocates, is a statewide organization that advocates on behalf of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and on behalf of their families and guardians. It publishes a free advocacy guide to help families understand their rights and advocate within the Department of Developmental Services system, tracks bills it supports or opposes, and runs a blog and newsletters.
