Jamie Fund
The Jamie Fund runs the iCare program (Introducing Children to Acceptance through Reading and Education), a volunteer reading program delivered inside school systems that builds empathy among typically functioning peers and explains why some classmates have different ability levels. The fund was started in honor of Jamie Piro, who was diagnosed at age 3 with a form of autism, and it trains and certifies volunteer readers.
