Maine Mental Health Connections runs Together Place, a peer run recovery center in Bangor offering social, recreational, vocational, and personal growth opportunities for adults who use mental health and/or developmental disability services. Programs include peer run recovery groups, creative recovery, employment connections, housing, and the 2nd Street Diner, and the organization states that all programs are free and open to anyone who walks through the door. Its stated goal is to increase community integration and reduce dependency on the mental health system.
