New Growth Project
New Growth Project runs a working farm in Rockford that creates paid job opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while growing food for the community. Participants learn job skills, build confidence and gain independence through farm work, a farm store and a CSA. The organization points to high unemployment among people with cognitive differences in Kent County as the reason for its work.
