Barbara Schneider Foundation
The Barbara Schneider Foundation in Minneapolis works to eliminate the criminalization and abusive treatment of people with mental illness by improving public safety and mental health systems. It provides de-escalation training in the Crisis Intervention Team model for police officers and other responders, and does public education through community conversations, seminars, articles and advocacy.
