Southwest Center for Independent Living, which does business as empower: abilities, works to reduce barriers and support independent living for people with disabilities in the Springfield area. It provides the five core independent living services, assistive technology, durable medical equipment, home modifications, attendant care, group programs and peer support, and advocates at local, state and national levels.
