Down Country
Down Country is a rural northeast Missouri organization focused on Down syndrome. Its stated work is educating and training teachers, therapists, administrators, doctors, nurses and support staff, along with rural communities, about Down syndrome and other disabilities, and promoting what a focus on Down syndrome can bring to rural communities and to people of all abilities. Its site carries the theme that every child can learn and that every child learns differently.
