Special Olympics Mississippi provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. More than 7,000 athletes take part across 18 regions of the state. The organization also runs a Young Athletes program, health resources and information for families, and registers coaches, officials and volunteers.
