Disabled American Veterans
This Disabled American Veterans organization in Helena manages Montana's DAV volunteer transportation network, which drives veterans to and from scheduled Veterans Affairs appointments, including veterans who are homeless and veterans who are students. Vans are purchased with donated funds and turned over to the VA, while two paid hospital service coordinators, local area coordinators, and close to 250 volunteer drivers run the service across Montana. The organization also donates funds to other groups that serve veterans, including the state veterans homes in Columbia Falls and Glendive.
