Lakeside Baptist Church - Night to Shine
Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton hosts Night to Shine, the Tim Tebow Foundation's prom night for people with developmental disabilities aged 14 and older, and has done so for seven years as the Van Zandt County host. Honored guests are paired with a volunteer buddy and receive hair, makeup and shoe-shine stations, limousine rides, corsages, dinner, karaoke, dancing and a crowning ceremony, all at no cost. A free respite dinner for parents and caregivers is hosted nearby by First Baptist Church Canton during the event.
