Texas Medicaid Medical Transportation Program
The Texas HHS program that arranges nonemergency rides to covered medical appointments for Medicaid and Children with Special Health Care Needs clients who have no other way to get there. People enrolled in a Medicaid managed care plan get the benefit through their health plan; people not in managed care use the state Medical Transportation Program directly. It operates statewide, including in all eleven counties.
