Texas A&M University: HOPS Program (Horticulture)

Confirmed Profile

HOPS is a two-semester, roughly 32-week training program that prepares people with disabilities for employment in the horticulture industry. Students take coursework on Texas A&M University campuses and can earn credentials in floral design, landscape management, or greenhouse and nursery operations. The curriculum covers the four pre-employment transition service areas: career exploration, work-based learning through volunteering and a semester-long practicum, job readiness training, and self-advocacy instruction with peer mentoring.
