SAAFE House
SAAFE House supports survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault across Walker, Trinity, San Jacinto and Polk counties from its base in Huntsville, with satellite offices in Trinity, Coldspring and Livingston. It provides emergency shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, legal advocacy, crisis intervention, trauma-informed counseling, accompaniment during medical exams, and community education. All services are free and confidential, and transportation support is provided as needed once clients are in shelter care.
