UTMB Blocker Burn Unit
The Blocker Burn Unit at UTMB is the burn service on the Galveston campus, treating burns from heat, chemicals, electricity and inhalation injury. Care spans emergency treatment, acute wound management, reconstructive surgery, laser scar treatment, rehabilitation and psychosocial support, with therapists helping patients regain strength, flexibility and independence.
