Catholic Charities Mamie George Community Center
The Mamie George Community Center in Richmond is the hub for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston services in Fort Bend County. It runs monthly food fairs, weekday food distribution, Trini's Market (a self-select pantry for people 60 and over) and the Food for Change program, alongside rent and utility assistance. Its senior services include wellness and movement classes, creative aging art classes, Medicare counseling, ESL classes, and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren workshops. It also provides rent and housing assistance for veterans living with HIV.
