Sunshine Center, Inc.
Sunshine Center is a private nonprofit in Galveston serving adults with developmental disabilities, with a stated aim of enhancing independence and community responsibility while fostering self-esteem and dignity. It runs Individualized Skills and Socialization (formerly day habilitation) to build adaptive skills for community living, Community Support and Home-Based Habilitation delivering one-to-one support in the home and community, supported employment with job placement and on-the-job coaching, and family outreach with education, referrals and quarterly support groups.
