Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County
METRO is the public transit authority for Harris County, operating bus, light rail and park and ride service. Its METROLift program is the ADA complementary paratransit service for people whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route buses, covering a 557 square mile ADA-required base area plus a 251 square mile extended area that reaches Northwest Houston, Hobby Airport, Missouri City, Kingwood, Humble and Clear Lake.
