Father Bill Atkinson Center
The Father Bill Atkinson Service Corps runs a day program for 15 to 17 young adults with intellectual disabilities in the Newtown Square area. Members meet three afternoons a week at the Haverford Community Recreation Center or in the community to develop life skills, take part in exercise, dance and the arts, and serve others. The organization states its mission as providing adults with intellectual disabilities the resources, environment and support to live with purpose and joy.
