Taproot Kitchen in State College operates a kitchen and catering service that employs and works with adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities, using fresh, locally grown meat and vegetables. It brings together local farms, gleaning partners, chefs and job seekers of all abilities to create ways for people to work, learn, teach, create and belong together. Its food is available through catering, at farmers markets and at community tables, and it also runs a shared use kitchen.
