Pennhurst Memorial and Preservation Alliance
The Pennhurst Memorial and Preservation Alliance commemorates and interprets the histories of people with disabilities who lived at the Pennhurst State School and Hospital. It educates the public about the struggle for dignity and full civil rights for people with disabilities and advocates for preservation and adaptive re-use of the site as a place of conscience. Its work includes archival collections, oral histories from former residents and relatives, and public programs.
