Gate - Gateway to Independence
The Gate provides a day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live in Blount County, Tennessee. Participants enter between ages 22 and 30 and may stay as long as they wish, meeting up to three days a week from August through May with staff and volunteers for social and pre-vocational activities that build independence. The program also gives the family or caretaker a respite while the participant attends.
